DIY Wallpaper Tray

One of my very very favorite blogs, Vintage Revivals (if you haven't checked it out, you need to. It's a must) just launched her newest series #rockwhatyagotparty. So, in honoring her wishes (Mandi, I love your guts) I am sharing my latest, easiest, and quickest DIY project with you guys!

I have been on the lookout for a little tray that can fit on our bar cart. I finally found one at the Ventura Flea Market a few weeks ago and finally got around to giving it a little facelift. It was the perfect size but I wasn't too fond of it's current state of being. Now, I'm all for a good inlay, but not the butterfly and flower type of inlay. So, what's a girl to do? Uh, spray paint and wallpaper the you-know-what outta it, duh.

No good spray paint job can start without a thorough sanding.

How perfect is this Hermes herringbone wallpaper?
I cut it down to fit perfectly inside my tray.

Even though I really didn't care for this inlay, I just couldn't bring myself to spray paint over someones hard work. So I covered up the inlay and sprayed that outer lip and handles of the tray.
